New Delhi : John Abraham is back in his producer avatar as the actor has set the plans to produce his another flick. The movie is based on the successful Pokhran nuclear test conducted in 1998.
John's JA Entertainment, which earlier has produced films like 'Vicky Donor' and 'Madras Cafe', has now collaborated with Kriaj Entertainment known for 'Rustom'. Abhishek Sharma, director of 'Tere Bin Laden' franchise has been robed in order to direct the movie. According to reports, he has been researching on the particular subject for over three years now.
When asked John he stated, "I have never been in a hurry to produce films, I have been reading and searching for subjects that are disruptive yet engaging, stories must resonate with current social political economic mood of the country and finding stories that reflect this takes time, this film fits perfectly with my pursuit.
"The script has been written by Saiwyn Quadros and Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh, writing team of "Neerja". "I am glad to collaborate with John on this film. His involvement as an actor and a producer adds great value and credibility to my vision," said Sharma.

"This story is one of the resilience and gumption that was shown by our national agencies to achieve one of the most critical achievements of the 20th century for our country. This will be our tribute to those men and women who selflessly serve our country and do not expect any accolades in return," said founder of Kriaj Entertainment Arjun N Kapoor.
The film, which will go on floors on April 20, is scheduled to release on December 8, 2017. John is also geared up for his maiden Marathi production, Savita Damodar Paranjpe, which is based on a critically acclaimed play by the same name. Directed by Swapna Waghmare, the film stars Subodh Bhave, Rakesh Bapat and Trupti Toradmal.
