On Wednesday, Delhi Home Minister Amit Shah flies to Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir for a duration of 2 days. He will be checking all the security in the state and will discuss about the security arrangements for public coming for the Amarnath Yatra. Amarnath Yatra will be starting from 10th July, 2019. This is the first visit of Shah after becoming Home Minister. Home minister will join back his office on Thursday, 27th June. The BJP Chief will be arriving there by afternoon today and a special advise is given to the tourists to stay from the Boulevard Axis. Traffic restrictions have been imposed in the city by the Srinagar District magistrate. The duration of restriction is from 8 am to 10:30 pm today and from 7 am to 4 pm on Thursday. State police has also announced alert in the city.
"In view of HM (Home Minister) visit, strong and reliable input of terrorist action in and around capital has been sounded," by the state police.
Effective area domination on the ground have to be done by all the senior officers, quick reaction teams have to be placed in strategic locations and hourly drills must be conducted. Senior police officers in all districts have been asked to monitor and sincerely implement drills.

Amit Shah will be heading towards the Sher-i -Kashmir International Conference Centre for the conference on the security arrangements for Amarnath Yatra and all agencies working in the valley will be attending the meeting. A detailed presentation is asked from the state police to be presented to the Home Minister about the arrangement scenario in the valley for yatra.
The Yatra will be of 46 days this year and proper precautions and arrangements are being made to make it safe for the public.
