Nirmala Sitharaman Presents The Union Budget
New Delhi: Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Finance Minister has begun presenting the union budget in the parliament.
Sitharaman became the second Union Finance Minister of India after Indira Gandhi. Government's second tenure, the First budget of Narendra Modi is the maiden one for Sitharaman.
The pre-budget Economic survey for 2018-2019 was tabled in parliament on Thursday by the Finance minister that projected the Economy of the state and highlighted its challenges.
On Thursday, Chief Economic adviser Krishnamurthy Subramanian released the survey.
Savitri and Narayanan Sitharaman, parents of Nirmala Sitharaman are also present in the parliament.
The 89th Union budget is the financial statement of the government highlighting the revenue and expenditure of its in the past as well as spending and projections of the coming year.
