On Friday heavy exchange of firing started on the LOC between the Indian and Pak troops in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand, Defence Ministry spokesman told that IANS in Jammu that about 9 pm, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation, shelling with mortars along the LOC in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district."Indian army is retaliating befittingly," he said.
Reports from the area said heavy firing exchanges were continuing in the area. Officials said on Saturday, 2 Army personnel were injured in Pakistani firing along the LOC in Rajouri district of J&K.The cross-border firing and shelling continued till 10.30 pm, adding that the casualties suffered by the Pakistani troops in the retaliatory action were not known immediately. The injured soldiers were taken and were undergoing treatment at a military hospital, they said.
