RESTRICTION ON AMARNATH YATRA
The Amarnath Yatra was suspended on Saturday with no explorer permitted to move towards the Kashmir Valley from Jammu because of a dissenter called challenge shutdown, police said.
"Assessing the lawfulness circumstance in light of the fact that the challenge shutdown called by the separatists today, development of the travelers from Jammu to Srinagar will stay suspended today," police sources said.
July 13 is seen as Martyrs Day in Jammu and Kashmir to recall those killed in the terminating outside the Srinagar Central Jail by powers of the Dogra Maharaja in 1931.
The state government watches the day to respect the individuals who battled for Independence in 1947.
Since the yearly journey to the Himalayan cavern place of worship began on July 1, over 1.50 lakh explorers have played out the continuous Amarnath Yatra up until this point.
The cavern place of worship houses an ice stalagmite structure that symbolizes the legendary forces of Lord Shiva, as per the enthusiasts.
The current year's Amarnath Yatra will end on August 15 corresponding with the Shravan Purnima celebration.
