Won't let Imran Khan Dictate Pakistan: Ex-minister
New Delhi: The cricketer-turned-politician prime minister Imran Khan attacked by PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal by stating that party will never allow him to become Pakistan's "Adolf Hitler" refering to German Dictator after the former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi got arrested on corruption charges.
The Express Tribune quoted Iqbal, the country's former interior minister said that we sacrificed our lives but will never deviate from the path of exposing the government from its reality. After repeating similar sentiments, chairman of Pakistan People's Party (ppp) Bilawal Bhutto targetted the khan's chosen government, reporting of conducting a "witch hunt" against the elected lawmakers.
The former Ex-minister Abbasi was arrested in link with the Liqudfied natural gas (LNG) scam, where he and others were accused of awarding illegally LNG contracts for a duration of 15 years to a company incurring losses to the state exchequer.
Previous year, an investigation was launched against Abbasi and Sharif by NAB over the reported misuse of authority.
Ex-minister Abbasi served as the prime minister of Pakistan from August 2017 to May 2018 and also served as the minister of petroleum and natural resources in the Sharif government.
