The world famous Lord Jagannath Yatra has been taken out in Puri. The festival already started in the Jagannath Temple of Puri where thousands of people gathered in the Rath Yatra . There are also people coming from abroad to participate in the festival. The Rath Yatra starts on 4th of July i.e. today and ends with the return of God's return on the 11th day of the Shukla Paksha. In this the Lord Jagannath is taken along with his elder brother Balram and younger sister Subhadra to the temple of Gundi. All three chariots are decorated with special splendor.
The Lord Jagannath ji's chariot is made of 16 wheels and 332 pieces of wooden is used in it and the height is about 45 inches, the colour of chariot is red and yellow. Lakhs of pilgrims gathered and arrived here from India and many other abroad countries.
