TRUCK RAMS INTO BIHAR WEDDING PARTY
At any rate eight individuals were killed and more than six endured intolerable wounds after a speeding truck smashed into a wedding marquee in Bihar's Lakhisarai region late on Wednesday.
The mishap occurred at Halsi Bazar on the state roadway when the truck, going to Sikandra in Jamui from Lakhisarai, hit an electric post and after that the roadside marquee during Nakta Manjhi's great girl wedding, police said.
Five individuals from the lady's side and three from the husband 's family were executed quickly, right hand director of police Manish Kumar said.
The dead have been recognized as Manjit Kumar, Nakat Manjhi, Muskan Manjhi, Umesh Manjhi, Rajiv Manjhi, Dhanraj Manjhi, Sambhu Manjhi and Gore Manjhi. Karku Manjhi, Sannu Manjhi, Ritik Manjhi, Karpoori Manjhi, Matru Manjhi and others were harmed and are under going treatment in Sadar Hospital and essential wellbeing focus.
Reports said the truck's driver fled from the spot deserting his vehicle. Endeavors to seize the driver are on, police said.
Furious occupants hindered the Halsi-Sikandra fundamental street close Ambedkar Chowk, upsetting vehicular traffic and requesting remuneration and capture of the driver. An extra police power was conveyed on the spot to control the group.
