Mumbai Received First Heavy Rainfall

Finally, the monsoon arrived, Mumbaikers woke up to monsoon showers this morning as the city Mumbai received it's first rainfall. Heavy rainfall has been recorded in many places including Juhu, Mulund, Andheri among many other areas. People also suffering from high traffic on Western Express Highway and in many other local areas. Flights also getting delayed. Vehicles are stuck on waterlogged road in Vasai. People facing many problems because of heavy rainfall as roads getting jam and mumbaikers were stuck with their cars and vehicles in between.

In many places, either on roads or in the Airports visibility has been reported to be slightly slow and high winds.

People were saying that the monsoon rain gave them happiness for about 10 minutes but after then rain starts heavily resulting in water clogging in many parts of mumbai. Now the people are criticizing and blaming BMC for their poor work and facilities. There were no warning boards around pot holes to warn or make people aware. Many school have declared school holiday because of heavy rain and water level of upto 2 ft on road. According to Skymet and weather forecast , areas such as Alibagh, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Mumbai, suburban, Nagpur, Palghar, Pune, Raigarh, Ratnagiri, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg and Thane will witness a few spells of moderate to heavy rain and thundershower at many places with lightning at isolated places. While Delhi recorded a temperature of 41 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, four notches above normal, as rains continued to play truant. The weather department has forecast similar conditions for another two-three days and rains are likely after Sunday.
