Black hole is a region of spacetime exhibiting gravitational acceleration so strong that nothing-no particles or even electromagnetic radiation such as light can escape from it.
This mystery is around 4 decades long but on Thursday scientists unveiled the most detailed simulation.
These are formed when a large star collapses in on itself. Far from being a hole, they are incredible having a great gravitational pull such that nothing can escape them. In year 1975 Nobel Prize winner John Bardeen and astrophysicist Jacobus Petterson theorized that a rotating Black Hole would cause the inner region of tiltled accretion disk to line up with the Black hole's equatorial plane.
But till date no model have explained what would happen. Many big Universities have come up together to crunch large sets of data and simulates how black hole interact with their accretion disks.
In initial they came know about the turbulence which occurs when different objects with different speed within the accretion disk rotates.
Alexander Tchekovskoy, assistant professor of physics and astronomy at Northwestern's Weinberg College of Arts Science, likened matter accumulating near a black hole to throwing a dart towards the board at random.
